I am due on the 22nd, but have been put on bedrest b/c of my pitting edema. It's horrible. My legs and hands hurt all the time. I'm just ready to have her. Doc says that I could go anyday now, but am ready today. It's a full moon tonight so I'm hoping that helps.lol. I just need to give her a little extra push I think..Please help.

Sex would be a great option..if the mr. and i weren't fighting right now..great timing for him, huh. I also heard that castrol oil is not safe and docs don't recommend it. I like the rowboat idea tho!! : ) what about just plain swimming will that help??

Are there any lakes nearby? I know this sounds crazy but I was also on bed rest and at the end of my pregnancy I decided to go on one of those boats that you have to row with your feet. It gave me alot of exercise and she was born the next day.
If this is not an option I would eat some Mexican food. An actual Restaurant. If that doesn't work well oh well you got out one last time before the baby came. Good Luck. I hope you plan on an epidural and if not really good luck.

Sex helps, but it can be wicked uncomfortable at this point.
You could also try a Castor Oil Milkshake. Here's a recipe, but beware that you'll also be spending a lot of time in the bathroom after you eat it.
2 oz. castor oil,
vanilla ice cream
OJ
The Ice cream emulsifies the castor oil so you can't taste it. It ends up tasting like a creamsicle. If you don't like OJ, you can use chocolate syrup or strawberry syrup instead.
Oh, also Evening Primrose Oil applied directly to the cervix works well.

I've been told that drinking castor oil before labor helps get the baby out faster. My mom delivered me naturally in 3 hours.

It sucks, but waiting is best right now. You can try sex/orgasm if you're up to it. There are some other options, but I can't recommend them this far from your date. Good luck, let us know how it goes!
