Some are real... but you have to make up your mind if it''s worth it. I do "e-Rewards" and take occasional on-line surveys. Most last 10-15 minutes and I get a "credit" of $3-5 dollars. Now... this isn't cash... it's a certificate for $ off at a pretty big list of online retailers. I saved $50 on a digital camera last year....and got it at a price that beat anything else I could find on the net.

That being said... some on-line "surveys" truly ARE scams.

Total scam. You pay $35 to be able to take the surveys. But what ends up happening is that you have to become a member to all the business sites that you take the surveys from. You have to give them a valid email. So, they will send you spam mail...and a whole lot of it. It takes too long to do the surveys and it's not worth it. If you do want to take the chance, set up another email address at yahoo, or hotmail or something, so the spam mail doesn't interfer with your regular mail. Don't do it. It's not worth it.

Some really pay, and some are scams, I don't do it because I don't want to waste the time especially if it is a scam.

There are several legitimate sites out there. One is Global Test Market. I have made $100 in the last 7 or 8 months by taking their surveys. No sign up fees, no spam, just surveys for points. Once you make 1000 points, they send you a check for 50 bucks, if you ask.

I do not know about online surveys; I have never gotten money from one. However, there are companies that do market research and pay for your opionion if you fit the profile the company is looking for. You will have to make inquiries in your town to see if there is a company nearby. Secret Shopping is also a fun way to earn a few dollars. You can research this on the web; they are national and need not be located in your town.

try this site. they aren't a scam but you have to pay for a subscription to the sites which will pay you for taking their surveys.

honestly though, i think most of them are a waste of time if not a scam.

Very, very rarely...you might bump into one that's not a scam. But usually they're from folks you already do business with such as Amazon.com or Netflix...and then the prize will usually be a token prize such as a $10.00 gift card.

Pinecone Research pays $5 per survey, and you may receive free product to try and then do a follow up survey.

Legit, doing it for years.

The ones I'm affiliated with actually pay. It's not much but if you luck out and qualify for the survey based on the corresponding criteria I guess they could add up.
