You have to work up to it gradually. Make small goals for yourself and acheive them. You have to stretch your comfort zone a little each day. For example, if you are shy, start by just saying "Hi, how are you today?" to someone behind you in a checkout line.

You really have to start inside. Find something you're good at and stick with it. You can't always be successful in everything you do. Use the successes of what you're good at to build upon as a foundation. Try things that make you uncomfortable. Visualize yourself doing things in your mind. If you've already done it over and over in your head, it will feel like you're a pro when you do it for real. If you think you're not good at anything, I think you're lying to yourself and you need to contact me and talk it over. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses.

Go to a mirror and look deep into your eyes(not at your eyes) and tell your Self I honor who you are and what you are.
Do this right before you go to sleep and right when you wake up.
You will feel a difference in about 10 days.
