I don't think the Reds should settle for the wildcard. I think they've got a solid shot at the division, especially if they take the last 2 games of this series. The Cardinals don't have the bats they did a few years ago or the arms. Rolen and Edmonds are no longer dominant hitters. Reggie Sanders is gone along with Edgar Renteria. The team is very reliant on Pujols and Carpenter, and they dont have much beyond those two.
The Reds have done a great job getting the players they needed to shore up their holes, and after that last 8-game skid by the Cards, the division lead is very much in reach.

I think they'll win the division to be honest. It all depends on their starting rotation. Aaron Harang and Bronson Arroyo can hold their own. Eric Milton is coming around. What about Rameriez? He gave up 7 effin' runs in two innings against the Cards. Other than the lack of starters they're a great team. Griffey and Dunn hitting the long balls. Phillips and Hatteburg batting .300. Ryan Freel making amazing plays. Harang is 3rd in the majors with strikeouts. Cincinnati is a great team and its a shame that no one's seen this until now. Look at all the assholes on ESPN who picked up to be last in the division. We're only 3 games out of the division and were in first for the wild card.

Well the only way that the Reds will make the playoffs is by winning the division, but I seriously doubt it. The Cardinals have a much better team so they will win the division. You guys have seriously forgotten that the Astros the past two years have come back and won the wild card. I am a huge astros fan and I believe that they will make the playoffs again.

Yeah, they will outhit other teams down the wire and make it in the Wild Card... they have a softer division than teams in the NL West and will beat up on the Cubs, Brewers, and Astros

Been a REDS fan forever. I would love to see them make the playoffs! I think its gonna be tough though. They keep picking up players for the famous player to be named later, not too keen on that..
