can u please help me look for some clinics or places where i can go get a free sonogram, im pregnant 5 weeks and a clinic said they would do it for me but its gonna take a couple of week cus the lady that does them is on vacation. so if u can help ill apreciated alot

is an ultrasound and sonogram the same thing? and how long do i need to wait to get one?

What you do is look in your phone book and find a place that offers FREE sonograms which I highly doubt you will find one but good luck.
You also need to consult with an OB doctor as well.

I am not sure where you are from, but in my area, there are clinics in the neighborhood that will do a sonogram if it is warranted or needed. but I think the pregnancy has to be so far along, Good luck!

why do you need a sonogram already? unless you are high risk or have had previous miscarraiges there really is no reason for you to have a sonogram until about the 20th week of pregnancy.

chill out...your only 5 weeks pregnant...its not really necessary to get an ultrasound done until the 20th week....and if your not paying for it its prolly going to be hard to get a free ultrasound done if its not for medical purposes...if you have insurence or medicaid you can have two ultrasounds done...the first one around 6-8 weeks alot of docs dont do...and the ones who do just do it to see if the size matches up to your due date....the one done at 20 weeks is to make sure its organs and brain are developing....so since its not necessary i would recommend just waiting

you dont need one now hun i got one at 7 weeks and it was soo small i couldnt bearley see it, its just a lil sac of water, with a heart beat, jsut wait until the lady gets back from vacation

If you can't afford regular medical care either call your local planned parenthood for assistance or call your local branch of family services. If you are pregnant and without medical care you should be able to get government assistance for prenatal care.
