Unfortunately hun, some people cannot tell the truth, even when their life depends on it. Don't take this to heart, as its her personal problem, not yours. She probably cant stop herself from doing it, and maybe doesnt even realise. You said that she is your ex? Well whoever she is, you really dont need people like that in your life, they just hurt you and bring your emotions down. Try to steer clear, and good luck xxxx

Have you ever heard the saying "It's harder to be friends than it is to be lovers"? Maybe she's just having a hard time adjusting to the idea. Maybe she's waiting for you to come back. There are all kinds of things to consider, like what is she lying to you about?

You know I was in a relationship for 9 years with this chick. She lied alot. Little lies, big lies, white lies and black lies. When ever I asked she never knew why she lied. After we broke up we had to deal with each other because of financial stuff, during that Delcina she often lied, my attorney stated that she needed therapy. After that ordeal was over, (3) years had passed she found me and called me to tell me she had HEP C and that I needed to get tested. I got tested negative. After stressing for months, she contacted me and told me she was sorry for lying and wanted to hurt me for leaving her. My understanding about people who lie, they can not stop lying. They lie to hurt or lie just to lie. No explanation. So do you consider lying a criteria for friendship?

Some people only hear what they want to hear and believe what they want to believe. Some people are in denial and feel justified in their own twisted logic.
Patiently explain things.
Listen carefully to their explanations to make sure you have all the facts right.
It might be time to cut your ex off completely.

Have you ever broken up before? It's hard to tell an ex about who you're going out with and what you're up to. It takes time for people to switch from talking to you as a lover to talking to you as a friend. It's HARD!!

just to wind you up?...either that or she feels uncomfortable with the truth. some people are compulsive liars aswell.
it can be a way of feeling in control. my ex used to lie arl the time rather than deal with the truth, and she had big control issues, having been raped several times....unless she was lying about that aswell...human beings, who'd have them? lol

In this case, you can just convince her. Alternatively, you can accept. If you don't want her, you can just break the relationship and detach from her area.

Why not find someone Else? If you don't like people that tell lies, why have a partner that does?
