Well, I started watching Will and Grace about 5 years ago. I came out like 6 months ago. I don't think it made me gay, I just think it showed me that gay people can still lead sucessful and full lives and helped me feel OK about the whole thing.

Well it all depends on your son's age, If he is below 10, it would be unwise but if you have a healthy loving family that discuss issues together then its fine. Of couse it would be wise to be with him to see his reactions being exposed to the gay issue that the Gay society faced on a daily basis. So unless you are against homosexuality then there is not harm in your son watching it. Of course you have to be prepared to answers waves of question about homosexuality. But a loving Father would explain to the child about the various sexuality and that gay are human too with feelings and emotions and not sex demons that they are portrayed by media of Hate.

No, people don't "turn" gay, They're just born that way. I personally love that show. I'm a huge fan of it. My mom watches it with me, and she's not a lesbian. If anything, it will make your son more understanding and accepting towards Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, And Transgendered people. Don't you think it's better to accept people for being different, rather than hating them for being different? I do.

Do you think that show is designed to turn your son gay? Is watching Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell make you a better Christian?

No. It will be good for him to see how other lifestyles live. It will help him be more open minded.

Watching "Fresh Prince of Belair" won't make him black....Will and Grace won't make him gay. It's not something people just decide to do.

Will watching heterosexual soap operas turn me straight?

I think you already know the answer, if in fact this was a serious "question."

Your son has been either straight or gay or somewhere in-between since birth. That's how God made him. Who are we to question God's gifts to us?

Good luck!

It exposes them to a gay lifestyle which portrays it as being socially acceptable. Unless there is a gay Gene then it could have some mental effects on him
