"The Sentinel", by Jeffrey Konvitz; an older novel, but worth the reading, and, current author Benton Little's "The Walking"; along with "Ghost Story" by Peter Straub. But, hey, in his day, Stephan King was excellent, especially in "Fire Starter" which was a real page-turner!

My favorite out of all of them is "Haunting of Hill House".
It's a good, creepy book. :D
