High risk doesn't matter 1 gb ram too..... both are nice Finest Example that Free Antivirus are also not less than paid ones... you may use anyone but people like Avg more since it is well knowned one i don't complain about Avg but avast is bette i think.... no slowing down pc and Powerful Network shield. uninstall one and instead keep one Firewall and one antispyware

you may use - Ewido antispyware From Grisoft
- Outpost Firewall or Zonealarm or black ice all are better..... black ice is bulletProof but even annoying too.

what PC doc said. You're asking for trouble and all kinds of crashes and conflicts if you use two. AVG is good, I've never tried Avast but I haven't heard anything bad about it.

If you have doubts that yours is catching everything (either AVG or Avast) then go do an online scan at Panda or TrendMicro (I think theirs is housecall.com (but not sure, go to the http://www.techguy.org site and click on their forums, and then "security" and about the fourth one down is "security help tools" started by a guy named Rollin Rog.

He has a list of all the online ones you could do, if you need a second opinion about whether your PC is clean.

Sure - if you don't mind the PC crawling. You should only run one anti-virus program at a time. As both programs will try to open and scan every file you access at the same time, it will cuase all kinds of problems. If you are concerned that one of the programs may miss something, then use one of the on-line virus scanning sites once a week as the second scan.

Hi, Yes, you can use the 2 software in the same computer. you are almost very safe.

I also recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar, which can disable the virus to run in your browser, because the virus can only run on IE.

firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and spyware, adware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:

They will try to kill each other in a civil war. As long as you're ok with the winner, you will have no problem. Other wise you will have to move!

No never do this, they could possibly quarantine each other's files making it difficult to do uninstalls.
