What good are gangs to the community except to intimidate, and kill innocent bystanders. You fight for an area that doesn't even belong to you and yet you claim it as your "turf".All thru history it has been a proven fact any fool can kill or destroy,but true power is the one that can create something from nothing. Let me see a gang that starts a meals on wheels program for the elderly. Or an adult education center to help them learn to read or write. Or a school lunch program for low income kids.

Some gangs are bad, like the ones that steal, vandilize, kill people and deal drugs, but some aren't. A gang used to be like a group of people and now everyone associates it with the bad kind.

Name something GOOD about a gang. They cheat steal and kill to get threw life. And the worst thing if you join a gang the only way out it DEATH

Because they are. Gangs tend to create "groupthink" behavior that goes beyond what anybody individually would do. People trying to one up each other tend to do stupid things. Gangs rule by intimidation. Be a lone ranger and speak your own mind, do your own dirt, live your own life, make your own decisions.

It could be argued that the reason gangs are formed is because of a certain "family" aspect that many people lack. Millions of people suffer from depression because they lack love and care...If you REALLY want to blame someone, don't blame the people who join, blame society.

Gangs rob, kill, make/sell drugs, sell guns, destroy families, screw up kids' minds (and get the kids killed), destroy property, and generally ruin the fabric of a peaceful society. Why would ANYONE think they might be good?

property damage
