as long as things are sighted, is it legal to use famous quotes on original postcards or greeting cards that you intend to sell?
help! i don't want to go to jail for something so silly!!! : )

Yes, no problem if the quote is credited to the correct person.

Of course it is OK - no problem whatsoever. Just credit it to the right person. Even if you didn't no-one will mind, no-one would care.
