There called kainas. I hope i spelled that right. You can get them at lowes. Since you live in the south they will come back every year, Un like me I have to dig them up every fall.

the flower called cannas,its very tropical looking ,it comes back bigger and more beautiful every year!it comes in alot of colors,as well as alot of leave colors!and it can get up to 5 ft. tall!and they are fool proof!meaning that anyone can grow them,if they water them@!

sago palm. you'd have to cover it during winter though. you may even be able to plant some philodendrons in the shade.

I have a orange tree in a pot. but it has to come in for the winter.
