Nothing is colder than Antarctica. There is only one type of animal which can survive in Antarctica--a penguin. There are only about 3 types of vegetation, and I believe those are types of moss which live near the edge of Antarctica. The ice there never melts, unlike wintertime. There are some scientists who visit there, but I'm not sure if even they stay during Antarctic winters. If I remember right, the AVERAGE temperature is 20 to 40 degrees below zero. And there are no indigenous people--there's nothing to live on, and they couldn't survive the cold anyway.

if you are asking if Antarctic winters are colder than Antarctic summers, then most definitely, yes. Just remember, in the southern hemisphere, summer and winters are switched.
