I dont think its fashionable - I just think todays society is more accepting of sex in general. People are open about their sexuality, men are turned on by it and women no longer need to hide the fact that women also enjoy sex just as much as men...
I think women today realize its okay to do what feels good and not whats politically correct.

This question has been asked and answered many times before, try looking it up in search next time before posting it again.
The people that say they are bisexual for attention or cause it's "fashionable" are not really bi. Maybe there bi-curious but not bi. Bisexuals are attracted to girls and guys in a meaningful loving way as well as a sexual way. And they don't kiss there girlfriend in front of a guy because it turns him on. How degrading. It does make it harder for real bisexuals to come out though.

My own personal opinion is that's it's strictly for attention. Forty years ago, the lowest thing a woman would do would be a prostitute, next to that was a stripper. Today we seem to think strippers are fabulous. What is a girl going to do for mystery and attention after she's stark naked in front of every body? Hummm....OK...I'll be bi-sexual and the guys will love it!

I think it's a fashion trend. Yes, I'm sure some are really bi/gay. But it has become cool on MTV

"In recent years"??? It's always been a lot more ok for girls to be gay (or bi: better yet) than guys because we live in a patriarchy where the straight white males find lesbianism tittilating.

For the same reason everything in the past was cool as a phase for people. They want to be cool and to fit in, so some people will lie about every part of them for it.
