First off, anyone who says that Pujols is overrated is an idiot, or at least in denial. The guy is the best player in the game at this point, so how in the world can he be overrated? Same goes for guys like ARod, Jeter, Manny, etc. - these guys are all proven superstars and future HOFers, so to call them overrated is crazy.
If you're looking for a true list of overrated players, here's who I'd go with:
1) Rocco Baldelli - A career OBP under .330, but they talk about him like he's some awesome talent.
2) David Eckstein - They talk about him like he's the spark for the Cards, apparently forgetting that having guys like Rolen and Pujols might have something to do with their success.
3) Brad Radke - A career of mediocrity, but up until recently he was mentioned along with the best players in the game.
4) Scott Podsednik - They always talk about his ability to get on base and "make things happen." I wonder how much you can "make happen" with a career OBP of .344, and a .728 OPS.
5) Jeff Francoeur - He's fun to watch, but his OBP - for his career - is .302!! Totally overrated, and one of the worst regulars in the National League. If not for his home run power, this guy should be on a bench.

Depends on your definition of "overrated." For arguments' sake, we'll assume that "overrated" means "not deserving of the contract he currently has." On that note, I guess you could include A-Rod because he makes the most money but is not the best player hands down every year (although he's still a pretty damn good player). As much as I despise him, Derek Jeter is a fantastic player who deserves all of his accolades. Clemens is only one of the greatest pitchers in the history of the game. Chase Utley and Dontrelle Willis are rising stars. David Wright and Albert Pujols might be the two best players in the National League. I'll agree with you about Torii Hunter but he might be the best defensive center fielder in the game.
But Bobby Abreu - now he's overrated.
Perhaps you just got your definitions of overrated and underrated mixed up?

Pujols and A. rod are definately overrated, however I do have to disagree when it comes to roger clemens. This guy is 44 years old, holds the record for the most strikeouts, led the Major League Baseball in the lowest ERA last season, and is showing no signs of letting up. I think that Lance berkman is definately underrated. He is number three in the majors in RBI's, has 30 homers to go along with his soon to be 100 RBI's for the third season in a row. Get 'er done Big Puma!

Pujols is the #1 player in baseball, who else is there? The guy was injured for 15 games and when he came back people had just caught up with him. Sure, he hasn't been as good hitting since before his injury but he's still doing great. He's also solid on defense and can steal bases. I'm a Cubs fan, I hate the Cardinals but as a baseball fan even I have to admit I would want him on my fantasy team. And I'll show you how unbiased I am with my list:
Overrated:
Wood/Prior (they're the same person)
Jeter
ARod
Rafael Furcal
Dontrelle Willis
Bobby Abreu (Come on he's hit 16 HR since last years all-star break)
The Oakland Atheletics
Carl Crawford
Josh Beckett
A.J. Burnett

How can you say guys like Pujols (who is VASTLY underpaid for what he has done), Utley (best hitting 2nd baseman in the league), David Wright (best 3rd Baseman in the league), Jeter (one of the best ALL AROUND Baseball Players to ever play the game), and Clemens (who is still dominating at 44 years old) are OVERRATED?

1 Manny Ramirez, 2 David Ortiz ( The only reason why i say these two is because you take one of them away from the other and watch their numbers drop..other than intentional walks) 3 Derek Jeter, 4 Jim Thome, 5 Corey Patterson, 6 Jermaine Dye, 7 Carlos Beltran 8 Morgan Ensberg, 9 Josh Beckett, 10 A.J. Burnett

I've been waiting for this topic... I totally agree with you that Pujols is the top over rated player in the game. 2 HR in his last 15 games. The most underated player in the game has to be Travis Hafner. If you ever get a chance to see that guy play go do it. One time i was in Tampa and he was hitting dongs in batting practice off the top of the dome. It was wild as hell
