No. It has been a bone of contention for many years and finally i have realised she didnt want us and i am a better mum than she was and have put that ghost to rest. But that isnt the story for every one some people find thier birth mothers and long lost fathers and have happier endings i wish you well.

No. She drifted in and out of my life bringing chaos and lack of self confidence. My grandmother raised me and I am forever grateful to her.

BUT my stepsister was adopted at birth and both her and my stepmum searched for each other and have a much better relationship with each other than I do with a mother that I lived with on and off for 15 years.

Each individual relationship has its own merits - and its own pitfalls. If you are prepared for the worst anything else is a blessing.

Good luck x x

Yes, I know mine but there are many times when knowing her is harder than if I didn't. I'm the oldest of 5 and she gave us all up except the youngest. If your looking for you birth-mom, please be careful she might be a wonderful person but then again she could be a leach like mine.

I spent many years of my life with her, but know her...other thing.
Only when I became an adult I could appreciate her good and bad side, then I felt resentful for the way she used me so many times, at the end - I am so happy for that - I could accept her just the way she is and stay away her influence...as soon as I realize
