If you have insurance, many artifical insemination techniques are covered by MANY companies... which I assume you have insurance if you want to have another child and aren't concerned about the cost to give birth... try calling them. Have his sperm counted. Have your ovaries and eggs checked. What if you have sex with another man and still not get pregnant?
If it were our last option and we desperately wanted and needed a child, I would have sex with another man to do it... so long as I had my husband's permission. It was throughly discussed, the other man was tested for STD's and drugs, a lawyer would draw up papers... I mean there is just way too much that would have to be done. How awful would it be if the man turned around and decided that he wanted to be a father to the child???!!! That is quite the possibility. There are other options. You may think that you can't afford them, but how deeply have you looked into them?
Good luck with your decision.

If you already have a child, how did you have that one? Has he been tested, do you know for a fact that he cannot have children?
I wouldn't have sex with another man, even if my husband asked me to. That is just opening a whole can of worms that never needs to be opened. It would always be a problem. If you cannot afford artificial insemination or adoption, try waiting a while and saving money for one of those proceedures. You already have one child, don't do something that could jeapordize your marriage and the stability of your first child's family.
No matter what a man says, he will never be able to get over you sleeping with another man. Even if he urged you to do it, gave it his blessing, whatever, he will NEVER get over it. Men are very fragile creatures and it would tear him up.
Best of luck to you.

I absolutly would never do that as my husband and his twin sister are the result of a situation like this.
In my husband's case, his mom was supposed to be the "surrogate" I guess for a guy and his wife(she couldn't get pregnant). My mother in law had sex with the husband, it took a while for her to get pregnant and when she did, they decided they didn't want a child anymore, and left her on her own(with TWINS!). I have seen the devastating effects these kind of pregnancies have on the child and it is NOT worth it. You have to think of the future effects on your family.

He is a great guy. He thinks of the family more than his own ego. If he is man enough for you to spend a weekend with someone else, then I respect him.

Heck no, there are sperm banks out there. Artificial Insemination. I can't believe that your husband would want you to have sex with someone else just to produce a child.

NO, I would try any other means but that. That is breaking the bond of marriage and with all the other ways of having a child why would you want that over your head?

no way! You could find someone to donate sperm and have in inseminated(sorry if misspelled). Sleeping with someone else will just cause trust issues for your relationship in the long run.

I think you would start to see your marriage break down. Plus, there are so many kids who need homes. Look into adoption.
