He lives out side of country in UAE. Its been 3 years now since i gave him 7 thousand dollars. He told me he is gonna pay me back. After a year when I asked him about the money, he said he will but he never did. Since then some times I call he tells me he will call me back and he never does. I dont know how to deal with him please help. I need my money back. When I gave him a money he told me he is in big trouble in his country and he used my emotions toward him. He knew I will do any thing for him. Is there any legal action I can take about it.

Go to small claims court .. or call Judge Joe Brown or Judge Judy and they will usually pay for everything ... but you have to be willing to embarrass yourself in front of millions of viewers ... that's all ... !

I would say take him to court, but I don't know. Its good that you have the documents that says ou transferred the money to his account. The only problem is, you didn't make him write an agreement stating that he had to pay you back. It was only verbal. He can claim that you gave them money to him as a gift and that there was no agreement to pay him back. If I were you, I would talk to my lawyer and see what he/she says. If the bank transfers are enough to get your money back in court. To give you a little courage, I DO think that they will order him to pay you your money back because people don't just let someone "borrow" money like that. That's too large of an amount. $500 maybe, but $7,000!! Hell no!!! I would only lend someone one that kind of money if I knew they were coming into some money or they are about to win the lottery and that's like a 1 in 1,000,000 chance!

7000 dollars! Wow that is a lot of money! He isn't going to pay you back sweetie unless you take the bull by the horns. Even if it means taking a trip to where ever he is. If he still won't pay up take him to court. The problem with that is that he can just say it was a gift. Find proof it was a loan and that he promised to pay you back. Then you can go from there.

If you didn't have him sign anything saying that he will pay you back, there isn't a whole lot that you can do. You have no proof that you gave him the money or that he agreed to pay it back. It looks like you lost a whole lot of money.

Without a legal loan contract you may as well kiss that money goodbye. He is probably a con artist that just happened to use your emotions to steal from you. Live and learn!!!
