I am grateful that I can go through my daily activities without the fear of being hit by a rocket as you walk down the streets. And I am thankful that I can sleep soundly at night without the terrifying sounds of bombs echoing in the backgound. Isn't it time that we should be thankful that we do not live in those war-torn regions??

i'm MOST thankful that I was born in 1982 as opposed to 1882 or even 1782 when slavery, segregation and severe discrimination were "just the way it was". thanks to their sacrifices, I can live freely today

In answer to your question and follow-up...yes, in a way I can be thankful about being able to sleep at night without wondering if we will be hit with bombs. But on the other hand my heart breaks for those who do have to worry. I could be much more thankful if no one had to worry for their safety.

I used to be in Chronic pain. Thankfully, modern-day medicine has cured that. I thank God everyday that I no longer have that pain. I am thankful for being born in the USA. I am thankful for my friends and relatives. I am thankful to the generous community that took me in after Hurricane Katrina. I am thankful mostly that God sent his son to die for our sins so that we can get into heaven even though we are sinners.
