There are agencies that place bodyguards or hire them for rent. But you have to have real skills to show. Do you have law enforcement or military experience? Are you licensed to carry a weapon? How good are you with it (and without it, meaning hand-to-hand combat)? Do you have experience in security audit and contingency planning? How fast can you drive on black ice? How much obnoxious behavior can you tolerate from a person you've been assigned to protect?
