I would say as high as 30% depending on your definition of 'in the closet' because some people are purely denying themselves same sex intimate relationships, because they feel it will taint them with the 'gay' label without actually being gay. However if your definition of gay includes same sex attractions well the figure will be much higher as we all have friends of the same sex!!
