i haven't seen my friend yet but it happened about an hour. How do I cheer her up.

OMG... that is the saddest thing. Just be there for her/him. Let them cry on your shoulder, Cause Im sure they will. I hope/pray your friends friend is ok.

just be there to support your friend because the only thing they need is some one who is gonna understand what they are feeling, trust me it is very hard to find someone that will just be there as a shoulder to lean on. i just got out of a terrifying car accident myself and my best friend was there for me to make sure that i didnt fall into depression because i was unable to walk or put any weight on my legs for 2 months. thankfully she had an other good friend of ours there for her when she felt down because of my situation and i'm really greatful she had that other person there to comfort her even when i was the one in pain, but i knew it hurt her too to see me in the hospital bed for that long.

You don't...not yet...give her time to grieve...be there for her and support her and offer comfort...but don't try "cheering up" anytime real soon...let her go through what she needs to go through right now...

Go see her .. she may or may not be able to say anything depends on the accident itself, but just being there always helps.

Take her for a drive on a deserted road and when you get to a nice straightaway, turn to her and say... "I saw this in a cartoon, but it's so crazy it just might work....pass me that blindfold from the glove box please....." That should get her!

what you do is walk up to her and give her a hug and tell her your really sorry and that her friend is in a better place now and he will be better up in heaven trust me a lot of people have died in my family tell her i'm sorry!!!
