Slightly different but along the same lines when I left home my mom hated it she had raised me and my 2 brothers by herself and I was the last to leave and I would call her and she would say things like I guess Ill have to put the dog to sleep because there is nobody here to love him or I guess ill have to rent out your room because Im rambling around thia big old house by myself...I laugh about it now...

When I was your age, I hated cleaning my room, too. Come to think of it, I still hate cleaning my room. Some things never change!

the funny thing is that when you have children you'll say the same thing to your children......some things just never change. And when your parents are dead and gone, there will be days that you wish they were around to tell you to pick up your draws and wash behind your ears and clean your room...you'll sit and think of them and tears will flow...oh.....how they will flow.....that's if you loved your parents

when i was your age we were so poor we lived in a hole in the middle of the road and i used to work 18 hours a day and pay for the privilege

Back in my day...we didn't have cell phones, hand held game systems, mp3 players, internet, etc. We had to entertain ourselves. Imagine the creativity we had to use...

When I was your age I was already married to your mother and I had a kid already - you!! (I heard that from my dad when I was 25). One divorce and no kids I think he could tell me even more - oy vey!!!!! - lol
