I am self-concious about my figure, too. (I am 5'1. and have NO figure) i figured should work on things that I know will show results. I have been using Billy Blanks BootCamp Elite: The Abs workout. It really targets your abs and is pretty simple! Its a short video...maybe 1/2 an hour long? but once you learn his techniques, you can do them on your own for however long you would like.
Ihe also helps with the hips, it's great! i dont know how else you may be able to target any curves, but def add this to your routine!
oooh and I have always wanted to take Salsa lessons, maybe you should give that a try, too as someone suggested =)

The most you can do is dress in a way to make it appear as if you have an hourglass figure. Never wear prints or lighter colors on top. Leave those for your bottom. And wear bootcut jeans. Stay away from skinny belts.

Hey, that's a good thing. I'm of the inverted triangle body shape and I love it.

but, I guess you'll have to do some exercises or something to enhance your posterior. Either that, or have a child. Apparently that does wonders :s

A lot of that is genetics. You can do activities to help tone your muscles (stretching, weight lifting, aerobic exercise, etc.), but it's pretty tough to change the "shape" of your body. I have a big rib cage, so my body looks straight the whole way down - like a tree.

Be happy with what you have. Hour glass is not 'proper'
healthy and natural are what are attractive no matter what your shape is. I am a pear, when I am thin, it is my humor and self confidence that make me 'appear' hot to the males.

you may not have the body shape for hour glass...

excercise, go to a gym, or trainer & ask if you can get there. You may be a long lithe shape
