Our daughter just loved to read anything and everything at that age. She still does. She reads at a higher reading level than most her age, so it's hard to suggest exact titles for you. I'd suggest you go to www.scholastic.com and browse the web site. You'll find them in the shopping area and they're arranged by ages ages, character and so on. They have all the best kids books there. Some at better prices than any book store. I got our daughters books there, then when she started school, she brought home fliers for ordering books from there that helps the school.

As for movies, there's many good kids movies out there. Just go browse the kids or family aisle at the local DVD rental store or Wal-Mart. Here's some of her faves:
"Robots"
"Ice Age"
"the Incredibles"
any of the Disney movies
"Shrek"
any of the Looney Tunes

Hope it helps. Good luck!!
