no because it is your right to do so i just made a simple request .IF you are in some distress please allow me to help.
I think the distress you feel may be more appropriate to a matter of political or personel matters and not one of true loss of life or property .
A devaluation of the dollar or investments or property is not an appropriate reason to display the flag in this manner .
Thank , you Don for your attention to this matter
IT would make me happier to know some one in america has some sense left and can reason and negotiate a settlement to a possible disagreement of such a simple matter as this .
I would appreciate you correcting the flag to its proper orientation .
IT seems most people agree that you should continue to do as you wish but i point out all the negative feelings it creates as an additional reason to correct your inverted flag .

No, the flying of the flag upside down was traditionally used to signal distress. When a fort raised their flag upside down that usually meant that there's something wrong and they need help. You raising the flag upside down may indicate you think there's something wrong with America and thus it is a perfectly fine and non disrespectful act and anyone who thinks it's disrespectful probably doesn't fully understand flag presentation.
Just for the more ignorant answers, we do have the right to be rude but more importantly, you do not have the right to not be offended.

Of course you have the right to do it, just as you have the right to pick your nose in public or frighten little kids or get drunk and blame the Jews for all the wars. The First Amendment says that you are not breaking any laws by flying your flag upside down. But it is rude and disrespectful to people whose family members have given their lives to defend that flag, and the freedoms it stands for. Deliberately causing emotional hurt and pain to other people isn't against the law, but it's nasty and wrong. It's not a legal issue, but a moral one.
In case I was unclear, my vote is Yes, you should stop being a rude and disrespectful jerk.

Flying the flag upside down technically isn't disrespectful. It actually means that the Country is in distress when it is flown upside down. 9-11 would qualify as a perfect example or when a president dies in office. If you're flying it upside down because you don't like the country then I have to ask why you would fly it at all. But it's your choice to fly it however you want.

It is your choice to fly the flag as you wish. Although here's a bit of history: Back before radios and cell phones were around, the way a ship would signal distress (aside from morris code, of course) was to fly the flag upside down to alert other ships that were near that the ship flying upside- down colors was in duress.
Just remember, when you mock the flag, you mock those who serve and protect your rights. Just some food for thought.

I would rather you fly the flag upside down then not fly the flag at all.
At least you are not like some of the other flag flyers that live in our Country and fly a mexico flag.

You have the right to fly it any which way you like ... but you do realize, don't you, that flying the flag upside down is a sign not so much of disrespect, but of distress ... :)

I have heard about the upside down flag meaning "help"...which is a good statement.
But if you are doing it just to protest the read on......
I think it is disrespectful....but I agree with the fact that you have the right to do it if you want to.....We are both entitled to our own opinions....that flag you are flying upside down stands for the country that gives you that right.

Fly it as you choose. But keep in mind flying a flag upside-down at sea is a distress signal. Do you need help?

No.
"The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property." The Flag Code, Title 36, U.S.C., Chapter 10 .
I'd say that describes the condition of the country just fine.
