Your first step should have been to call your doctor. Whenever you notice changes in the way your body behaves/responds, you should contact a physician. Unlike 1 of the posters before me, I know that it is possible for you to have a 3week period, I've been there. It's probably just a hormonal imbalance. The doc can write a prescription and you will be just fine. Don't ever take chances with your body---call a doctor.

if you just had a baby, then this is normal. but, if you are having a 3-week period, go see your doctor. changes in color during a period is normal. it all depends on the time the blood was released to the time it hits air, the longer it is exposed, the darker it is.

If you have had your period for three weeks, you should probably go see a doctor. It could be a medication you are taking or something.
