Breaking up with someone and still remaining friends is difficult, but I would say that just talk to them and tell them why you feel the way you do,and that you're not breaking up with them because you don't like them,it just doesn't feel right to be in a relationship and friends feels better. I think at first the dumpee might be a little upset but things work themselves out and after they are cooled down from it all, friends will be more of an option.

Theres never an easy way to break up with someone. Someone always gets hurt. But dont break up over the internet, text message, or email. At least call the person or do it face to face. If you dont want to do it face to face because you dont want to see the other person cry do it over the phone. Tell there person you dont love them anymore and its not working out.

IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO BREAK UP IN PERSON IF THAT PERSON IS NOT ABUSIVE TO YOU. BE HONEST AND TELL THEM WHY IT IS NOT WORKING OUT FOR YOU. BUT INFORM THEM THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO JUST BE FRIENDS.
