Their faces shining river gold brushed by soft black stars
And angels' wings shall soothe their cares
And all the birds shall sing at dawn
Blessed and wet with joy
You and i will meet one day
Under the night sky lit by soft black stars

little children
soft black stars i fell in love with a dead boy

Little children snuggle under soft black stars
And if you look into their eyes-- soft black stars
Deliver them from the book and the letter and the word
And let them read the silence bathed in soft black stars
Let them trace the raindrops under soft black stars
Let them follow whispers and scare away the night
Let them kiss the featherbreath of soft black stars
And let them ride their horsies licked by the wind and the snow
And tip-toe into twilight where we all one day will go
Caressed with tendrils and with no fear at all
Their faces shining river-gold brushed with soft black stars
And angels' wings shall soothe their cares
And all the birds shall sing at dawn
Blessed and wet with joy
You and I will meet one day
Under a nightsky lit by soft black stars

Two people who loved each other meeting again in the afterlife I think?.

'wet with joy' has got to go, what does it mean to be wet with joy? Its like saying like being cold with excitement? or damp with grief?

What is a black star? Let alone a SOFT black one? If this is a surreal image then in that case it is out of tune with the rest.
I like river gold brushed although it sounds a bit clumsy. Why the And at the beginning of the second line - it doesn't follow anything - needs to go. All the birds DO sing at dawn so try another image. You have gone from the third person 'their faces', 'their cares' to the first person 'You and I will...' something to always watch out for whenever writing prose or poetry.

You have also gone from the present tense 'shining...' to the past tense - 'shall soothe', shall sing
Sorry for picking up on all these things but its better to be honest I think. Don't let it stop you writing and improving, its a good thing to do.

I think the event that you are describing are lovers dancing for the first time under the stars or one is fantasizing about his or her true love. I don't know, what event are you describing?
