How less is less?
Generally, I take a very short time in getting ready. For putting on makeup - Firstly, use a light foundation. Heavy foundations require caking on after concealer then a powder to set. A light one is just a dash all over and you're done!
Keep to only two eyeshadow colours, or, if you can, just use one. I get away with only using a dark brown on the corners of my eyes and it looks great.
Skip the blush - you don't need it. Your natural glow will shine through the foundation
Do two coats of mascara
Invest in tinted lipgloss or a good, every day colour stick. You don't need to outline and then fill if it's just an every day look - of course, if it's a dress-up look, then yeah, you're going to have to take a lot of time.
For doing your hair - leave-in conditioner, mousse or straightening cream works wonders. All you have to do is slick back the hair in a ponytail or a bun, or scrunch it up with the mousse to give some nice waves. A couple of bobby pins to hold back the errant strands and you're done.
For clothes - work out what you are going to wear the night before. Do all your ironing as soon as your clothes are washed, and hang them up or fold them nicely away so you don't have any crinkles. make sure your shoes are all in one place too. Having everything accessible and in a proper place saves a lot of time where you don't have to go looking for them everywhere.
Also, pack your bag or handbag the night before too, so it's just an easy grab off the table when you're ready to leave.

If it's for school or work, set out your things the night before.
If it's for a date or some other outing, then just allow yourself a little more time than you think you'll need. Just start sooner! Set a timer for so many minutes and try to shorten the time gradually.
It is possible to get ready and still looked well-together without it taking forever!! Also, go over just what you do to get ready. Maybe one or more of those steps can be eliminated.

Well, if you take your time and plan out your outfit and accessories before-hand that will save you time. It also helps if you prepare your hair before hand because that usually takes the most time hair, make-up and indecisiveness on a outfit. For instance the night before work or school, and if your going on a date that evening try to pick out your stuff in advance so you just have to shower and change. The overall key is preparation which is needed for a well put-together appearance in a fraction of time.

I used to spend so much time getting myself ready in the morning, and it drove my boyfriend CRAZY...so I learned a few techniques.
First off, you can always try to do whatever you can before going to bed at nigt. You can iron out your clothes and lay them out so you dont spend time agonizing about what you are going to wear (well...at least not in the morning anymore) you can set up an assembly line of your makup and hair-equipment in the bathroom (or dresser or wherever) in order of what you use first, so you dont have to rumage to find things. It may sound odd, but maybe you can time yourself next time, and see what part takes up the most time, and maybe you can find a way to shorten the length of time.. Write down everything that needs to be done, because I always seem to forget SOMETHING, which throws me off track and takes up MORE time getting ready.
Also, a lot of Beauty magazines give out helpful tricks about makup and hair techniques that should cut down on your prep time
=)

well you didnt say if you have long hair or what. Sometimes during the summer/fall i let my hair air dry (mines wavy/curly) and that saves time because all i do is put gel in my hair. Then that should only take five minutes and then you could do your make up and be on your way.

Simple, take care of your eyebrows and shaving during the night as well as deciding your outfit and what purse you'll be using including jewlery & shoes always before you go to bed.
______________having all this ready__________
will save you toooonnnnnnsssss of time! i try to do this as much as possible! you will take less time in the shower and getting ready in our busy mornings. good luck!!!!
(when rushing do part of your makeup at work example: blush, eyeshadow or jewlery you know the extras).
