could be a bad sensor or a ignition coil getting hot

Relay is good place to start. You can bypass relay on most older vehicles by crossing the two posts with a screw driver. Will make a big spark, but if starter turns theres the prob. If nothing happens sometimes the starter will get a "dead spot". Climb under car and hit it farily hard with hammer/tire iron this will sometimes loosen the armature and it may start then. If so get new starter...Gluck

when it does this if the starter is turning it over really good, then it isn't the starter,,but if it kind of drags when it try,s to start,,the starter is going bad,,but if all that checks good you might need a new fuel filter,,or have a weak fuel pump,,they will do this when they get hot,,then after they cool down for a little while they will start,,also a bad coil pack will do this every time,,i own a repair shop,,and we do see a lot of these with bad coil packs on them,,and when they get hot there not going to start until they do cool off,,if you do not find the cause it might be a wise idea to have it checked,,before you start replacing parts,,this can be really expensive ,,especially when your working with a limited budget,,i hope this helps some,,i have done this for 35 yrs.

I would say either starter relay or starter solenoid. Sometimes you can tap on the solenoid with a hammer and it will start working again. You could try that to eliminate the relay.

some alarm systems have a starter disable function...perhaps your ignition switch is shot..try jiggling the key....check battery connections...alternator and starter too

it is your alternator is going undesirable, the battery recharges whilst you enable it sit down. whilst your driving the vehicle the battery isn't waiting to recharge as a results of fact the alternator isn't generating sufficient electrical energy, so once you enable it sit down the battery recharges sufficient to start up the vehicle usually. it extremely is the alternative case whilst the battery is undesirable.
