Watched the first plane hit on a 6 inch TV in the kitchen while making coffee at my old job....we then moved into the conference room where everyone sat on the floor to watch the events unfold on the big screen...(the President of the company was flying from NY to Boston while all of this was taking place..)...When he called to say he'd arrived safely, they broadcasted the call throughout the building..."Go home to your families...this can all wait until tomorrow."

I was in my Child Development class my senior year of High School. One my friends walked in a said she heard 2 planes hit the World Trade Center. Everyone was like "Oh wow that sucks," while I'm freaking out telling everybody "This is gonna be war!." Our principal wouldn't let anyone watch TV so we had to wait until we got home to get all the details. He even threatened to fire any teacher who turned on the TV during that day. Even to this day I'm still pissed off about that because that was history happening right in front of us! NBHS sucks!

Getting off my grave yard shift. Supervisor came in and told me. I was shocked beyond belief as I drove home. Was a few blocks away from home when the second tower to be hit fell first. I had to stop and absorb what I was hearing on the car radio.
At home, wife and I was watching Katie Couric report on the tragedy and then saw the other tower fall. I had to take a walk to digest it all. Sad, so sad.

Santa Barbara, CA. At work and I couldn't get on to CNN.com. There were a bunch of AM radios going on in the office. I knew something was wrong because the last time I heard that many AM radios going in the office at one time was during the Columbine massacre.

i remember it so well. my school is about 15-20 minutes from the pentagon. we were sitting in class (it was a trailer) and we heard a small boom. it wasnt huge but you just heard it. then one of the math teachers asked my reading teacher to watch her class cause she had gotten a call. so she came back 5 minutes later crying. and we didnt know why. then the principle came on the intercom and told us to turn on the tv to our school news channel and he came on it and told us. i was confused. then he just told us to remain calm. then we went to the library. they had the news on. and we were watching when we saw the second plane going into the second tower live. it wasnt a replay it was completely live. i freaked. then they showed the pentagon and i got more scared. i dont think i'll ever forget it. then after that the intercom kept calling students to go to the office cuase parents where there to pick them up. my mom picked me up too. it was seriously a moment that i will never forget. and i remember that night watching a bunch of replays and the fireman. oh and the small boom we heard was when the plane crashed into the pentagon.

well...i was eight and i was trying to catch my morning show, so i turned on the tv and my show was on. so i went and got my fruitl loops and i got out the milk and made myself some cereal, then i went to sit back down in front of the tv, and then it was a news channel. so i tried and chage the channel, but it was the same on every channel. so i went upstairs and told my mom the tv was broken. then she came downstairs and screamed a little sheirk and i asked her what? and she told me what was happenenig and my dad worked really close by and he called us 2 minutes later asking us if we wwre ok and that he could see smoke coming off of the building. My dad actually saw the second plane come and hit the second tower.
