120 buried with my Olds Cutlass 455. Running side by side with a Corvette. The guy in the Corvette said I was doing 145 according to his speedometer after we stopped about 3 miles up the road. He had to find out what I had under the hood. Been friends ever since

185 on the NY state thruway. 1966 Chevy. It was originally meant for the racetrack but was made street legal.
I wouldn't do it now, though. At the time I was suffering from the youthful idea that I was immortal

When I was in High School, I had a 1970 Pontiac Catalina. My friends and I would race down US 1 in Ormond Beach Florida. I buried my speedometer at 125 mph (I think it was 125. Maybe 110 or 115. Can't remember exactly. Brain is fried)

160 km per hour (100 mph), at 4 am. It's the fastest speed the little chevrolet corsa could go without melting the motor.
The one and only time I pushed the car so hard.

don't know I estimate about 90 but the speedometer is broken. I was driving a chevy caprice with a V8 corvette engine. Lots of power when it's running right LOL... my dad one time drove with me in the car when I was a kid he was going at least 120 in his classic convertible and blew out the engine.
