If you setup a profile, you can make fake trades and it will show you how your investments do on a day to day basis.

Use My Yahoo stock portfolio. You can list the stocks you want to purchase and the price. The portfolio is updated all day long and when you reach the buy (or sell) price, input the cost. The site will track the earnings (or losses) automatically.

If your computer came with a program such as Quicken then just set up accounts and put pretend money into it. The program will download stock prices for you and show profit and loss.
