I have Willie Parker I would like to use him as trade bait for a solid TE (in place of Kellen Winslow) or maybe a dominant defense (I would trade parker w/ the Ravens). This is what my team looks like:

QBs: Hasselbeck & Bulger
RBs: LJ, S. Jackson & Willie Parker
WR: TJ Housh, L. Fitzgerald, Santana Moss, C. Chambers and J. Walker
TE: C. Cooley, K & Winslow
Def: Ravens, Falcons

With the loss of Parker I would obviously have a void at running back, Dillon has an easy schedule this year vs. the run and Brady lost one of his receivers and Deion Branch is holding out for more money...

Do you think this is all worth it if I land a dominant D or a solid TE?
Will Dillon perform as well as or out perform Parker this year?

With the pick of Maroney in the 1st rd. for the Pats, I think Dillon is on his last legs. I would keep Parker, Trade Santana Moss, his year will be a let down. Cooley is going to be good again.

There is no way I would keep Dillion. He is growing in age and will lose playing time to a faster, younger back in Laurence Moroney . With the depature of Jerome, Willie will get more yards and oppurtunities than Corey. Dillon also carries around a threat of injuries. You can easily pick up a good defense on the wavier wire, and if not you could always trade Dillion for a pretty good d
such as Miami, or TE, such as Ben Watson without giving away Parker. You shouldn't have to trade Parker for the raven's d, which has diminished over the years, for Willie. I would trade the Ravens's D for Dillion. Don't try to overpay. The owner is trying to trick you.

No, running backs make a Fantasy Team and parker is solid for bye weeks and incase of any injury. Believe me, Cooley at TE is going to be a huge sleeper- with the addition of Al Saunders, look for a solid campaign from him. You have 2 great defenses, and I would not worry about either. If it were me, play Atlanta, sit the Ravens. Look for Atlanta to make major strides at defense, somewhere between Chicago of last year and Baltimore of '02. Lastly, if you get Dillion you must handcuff Maroney. All of that is not worth Parker. Keep him and as a rule, never trade before week 1.

I like Corey Dillon more than Willie parker. Yes I know Corey Dillon is getting old, but Willie Parker has never been the featured back for a full season and won't be this year. He will lose goalline carries to Staley. He will have about 1,200 yds and will have 6 TD's. Dillon on the other hand will have about 1,000 yds and 10 Td's. He is an overall better RB and will have a better season.

1. Don't trade Parker for a D or TE - you are solid there - Winslow could have a solid year, and Cooley had a breakout year last year.

2. Is Dillon available? I'd still take him over Parker - he has a chip on his shoulder and feels good.

Cooley or Winslow should give you good numbers for a tight end. I would trade parker or the ravens DEF. The ravens defense will go back to years past because they changed back to the system that took them to the super bowl and Ray Lewis will be all over the place this year! I would keep your team like that for now!

The only thing I have to wonder is if Staley is still going to take handoffs...he's still a Steeler right? I don't follow that team well enough to know for sure. Dillion seems like the standout in New England, they did pick up another back in the first round, but I can't see him taking many snaps this season...But Pittsburgh is probably going to be running a lot seeing as how they only really have Ward to throw to now for the big yards....It's really whoever, I don't think either guy is going to do anything spectacular this year...but if I had to guess which one would, I would say Parker will have a better season.

Willie Parker is younger while Dillon is getting older and worsening. Bill Cowher was quoted as saying that Parker is the running the best in his life. He is very motavated.
