90s

the decades are progressively worse as you go back.

That would be subjective because people could not pick the decade in which they spent the age of 19-20 in.

The 60s! It was an amazing time to grow up in SF. The Haight-Ashbury, the music venues (Fillmore/Winterland/GG Park). Kind of like a candy store and you didn't know which way to turn first because just about everything in view was so appealing!

I look back on that decade with mostly pleasant nostalgia. Of course there was a lot of ugliness/hate, too, but for me the memories are mainly positive ones.

The 1990's. Definitely.

For the rest of the 20th century:
The 1970's, next, then the 1950's, then the 1980's then the 1920's, then the 1960's, then the 1940's, then the 1910's, then the 1900's.

The 1930's just sucked.

Has to be the 1950's when there was Bill Haley and Rock 'n Roll, Elvis, the last the ration books from the war were thrown away, Mt. Everest was conquered, the Queen's Coronation, and people were still polite, there was no yob culture or obscene language, and people spoke and wrote in English not text....

or, maybe it was the 60's, make love not war, peace rallies, Carnaby Street fashion, the Rolling Stones and the Mamas and the Papas ....

I'd have loved to have been 19 in London in 1964.

I was 19 in 1985,I loved the 80's, but I've always felt I was born too late.

I would have to say the 70's. Grant it, I was born in '77, but, you'd be suprised what I remember in 3 years towards the end of that decade!
