Check his history prior the marriage. He may have been gay all along without anyone knowing it -- even his own parents. Boy... some guy who can actually keep a pink secret lol.
If not, he may have been influenced by gay friends. The wife may also have gay friends who then became too close with him. It's not impossible to be influenced by gay friends, really. An old friend of mine turned into a certified gay after living with a few for quite a long time. He used to be my bully buddy in elementary.

Actually, He was probably gay all along and struggling with his own feelings. If you could look into his childhood, you can most likely be able to tell if this was foreshadowed in his future by the way he acted as a kid. If he was very boyish, he might be going through a social phase right now. If he was a more femenine child, he is most likely truely gay. People are born gay, its biological.

There's no such thing as a straight man going gay. Gays are loathsome and evolutionarily inept monsters and should be annihilated from the face of the earth. May the fire everlasting consume them for all eternity.
