I think that it's just because he's young and has spikey hair . . .
And Maverick . . . he can't be Naruto's father, he died a little bit after Kakashi became a jounin, he's too young to be Naruto's dad!

What happened to Rin was never specified, but Kakashi mentioned that all his loved ones died, so there's a big chance that she's deceased now.
