This is the same mindset that gave rise to the philosophy that darker people and women did not deserve rights, either. It's called BIGOTRY.

Dude, the only thing I can say about gay rights is the gay community should enjoy the same rights as any other community. The only thing I can really say that is offensive about gay life style is the "in your face" crap....I mean, it's like gay's have to be on the defense all of the time..."you don't like me because I'm gay/lesbian"...bullshit...I don't like you because you're an idiot! I find alot of lesbians won't even sit next to a straight woman or socialize. Gay men on the other hand LOVE to socialize with anyone! Sigh....this is exhausting! We should all just be who we are, marry whomever we want and accept each other and stopthebitchin' ! Can I get an "AMEN"????

You have not seen one legitimate reason because there are no legitimate reasons. People fear what they don't understand. I'm not gay, am a Christian, and would never justify taking away any person's civil rights.

Beyond the fact that people are short sighted and don't want to accept what is beyong their tastes and preferences.
I believe its deeper than that. In old native Indian tradition "transsexual" natives with both female and male aspects were looked at as "balanced" individuals with special powers and abilities due to their balanced nature... and they were well respected and looked up to.
Just gimmie 30 seconds and id be finished...lol
So if you ask me... why don't people think Gay's should have their rights? Because they ignorantly feel threatened by them and all the wonderful being that is them.

Exactly who is denying them any rights that are specified in the constitution? There is no right granted in the constitution for marriage. That's why it's a matter for the states to decide. The fact someone wants to do something doesn't mean that they have some right to do it. Do I have a right to drive drunk? Do I have a right to steal my neighbor's property? (Oh, bad examples, apparently our lawmakers have both those rights.)
As a group, gays have a higher average income, more disposable income, and more entitlements based on their choice than any other protected class who are defined by genetic or physical differences. So what's their gripe?

The people in question are usually the fanatical bible thumpers and Christians. They are very fond of quoting from the book of Leviticus chapter 18 (I am looking at my son's bible in the Old Testament). In this chapter of the Christian bible it talks about unlawful sexual relations. I'm not going to type this in as I am pretty tired of seeing it myself.
Personally, I believe that they are normal human beings who deserve to live in the manner they want with the rights that are extended to heterosexual people. It is wrong for people to try and take away what is, in my opinion, the birthright of every American.

Well do gays deserve the same rights...yes
Why do people think otherwise..because they think the whole world should be based on their preferences so that bigotry is OK

There is not a reason why, people are ignorant and have a one track mind. No one lives according to the bible, yes Jesus intended for it to be man and woman but he didnt intend for us to lie, cheat, steal, kill, etc but we do it anyway. So whats wrong with being gay? Not a thing. It's your life so live it.

Because those people are close minded and hateful. They don't like having to actually be tolerant of people who are different.
