It would be midnight Monday, 21 August in Singapore. That is 7 hours later than the 1700 hrs you reference.

(that's the midnight between Monday and Tuesday -- not the midnight between Sunday and Monday)

I'm not sure what you mean by "BST"...however GMT, Greenwich Mean Time, is the norm for computing all time differences around the world. It's like zero-hour, or midnight. So, if you know what the difference is for your time zone (let's say it is London, which is in GMT) and add 8 hours to adjust for Singapore...at 5pm (1700), it's 1am (0100) the next day. Hope that helps!
