Isn't bestiality a sickness? How about child molestation? All of these are sexual preferences not about relationships. All are about people that are sick. You can have a relationship with the same gender without having sex with them. I have a loving relationship with my father, brother, best friends and their kids, family pets, nieces and nephew’s but I don't want to have sex with them. It seem that being Gay is about what turns the individual on and they use the statement that it's a lifestyle, It can’t be..

bregweidd: Not Comparable? Why not it's about getting off, ie sex. who’s to say that a 12 year old or the family pet can't consent, If you disregard Gods laws then why not man's, as long as you have consent of the other?

Should we tolerate every thing? Murder rape, must we except without question? Where do YOU draw the line?

jeepchick_sc... If you have a long term relationship with another girl Without having SEX with them, what kind of relationship is it? Lesbian or friendship? SEX with the individual DEFINDS Lesbian or a Gay relationship. So, YES you can put in the same category as Child molester or bestiality It’s a SEXUAL Preference! The reason God made men and women different is for procreation and he made it enjoyable to help populate the world. Any other relationship that is not of the heterosexual type is a perversion of gods will, their for you MUST be sick.

I am a lesbian in a very loving long-term RELATIONSHIP. No, it is NOT just about sex when it comes to homosexuals in a relationship. Are there some gays and lesbians out there whom are promiscuous and just have a sexual relationship? Sure there are just as there are heterosexuals out there who do just the same.

Being gay in not a sexual preference. There is evidence that the brains of gays and lesbians are different than heterosexuals which would mean it's not a choice.

For you to place gays in the same category is sick. Neither I nor my partner are child molesters or into bestiality.

Some peoplle KNOW it isn't a sickness or a choice. Who are they? Homosexuals, of course. I've read plenty of testimonies of gay people giving it their ALL to live as heterosexuals (called x-gays), even going to so far as to claim they are no longer gay and THAT makes headlines, especially by Fundamentalists. However, if you can find recent articles or testimonies the SUPER VAST MAJORITY of them eventually can't take it anymore, being a lie and they become what is called humorously as "x-x-gays" meaning they were always gay and just put their whole effort in being what they are not and, depending on the ability to deny who you are, they claim the "x-gay" status, some for many many years, some of which I have known personally. So, all that "x-gay" and "x-x-gay" confuses people, which is understanable. The most ridiculous claim of is that it is a choice and some go so far as almost paint a picture of a person saying something like this: Ok, God, you made me heterosexual but I hate you and your nature and I'm going THIS way now. Being on the outside of an issue isn't going to make you wise and a lot of Fundamentalist won't believe gays when they try to explain. Of course, such arrogant people somehow "KNOW" it's a choice. So, I conducted a small experiment with some people I was having debate about homosexuality. I asked them to just contemplate (not asking to switch orientations) to chance just a wee bit of their sexuality and let me know how it so successful, i.e. The legs of woman makes you sexually interested to a degree. Just change a very very small aspect of their sexuality and also claim that such a small sexual interest is a choice of yours. Come on, now. Not a single man on this debate site online would even try. That's very telling. If any of you reading this note of mine want to try and do the same to PROVE that all aspects of one's sexual interest is completely a choice and therefore can change it.

In answer to your question, I have a question for you. If we think someone who is Gay is sick, then what about people who are heterosexuals or those who are in love? Are they sick too? Don't get me wrong I'm not pro gray or pro heterosexuals. I simply believe that we should respect the sexual orientation of individuals in society and not be biased against them.

Unlike bestiality, molestation (child or not) or having sex with family members, a person's sexual orientation has nothing to do with their sexual preferences. Sexual preferences are choices made by individuals on their own accord. At times these preferences are even deemed illegal by law for the protection of others and moral values in society (e.g. having sex with a minor, rape or incest).

That's where the big difference lies between being gay and choosing to do something wrong like having sex with your father. A person simply does wake up one day and decide they want to be gay. It's not as if being gay, straight or bi is a light switch that one can turn on or off. This is inate in each one of us unless anyone personally chooses to engage in bestiality, incest, rape or molestation, then perhaps people like this may need to get some psychatrict help.

I'd like to think most people in society are guided by good values and have their head screwed on right whether they love a guy or a gal -- let's leave sexual orientation out of it and not confuse this with sexual preferences.

And it isn't wrong for someone to one day fall in love or have sex with their best friend as long as no one is breaking the law or are two consenting parties.

Because if you ask me being gay isn't a sickness unless being a heterosexual is too. God made each creature big and small, he is the creator of all things on earth and teaches us to love one another -- does this mean he got it wrong too?

My best friend is a gay guy, and I have several other (probably 6 or 7) gay male acquaintances. With every single one of them, their relationships are based on sex. Well, I wouldn't even call them relationships...it's really about going out, getting drunk and f*cking every guy you meet. That seems very wrong to me. I'm sure there are some homosexual people who base a relationship on love, like many heterosexual people, but I have a feeling these gay people are few and far between.

But it is and its not a sickness....actually homosexuals have different brain chemicals than heterosexuals....so basically, their brain is what makes the sexuality aspect of their lifes different than ours...you know just like we have the part in our brains that makes us want to be ''straight'' its not a right or wrong, good or bad matter. Bregweidd's answer is pretty good too.

There is a study out where scientist have found that there is a chromosome or gene that makes a person gay. In my opinion, I find a lot of people jump on a bandwagon. I do not mean this disrespectful or rude. I am only giving an opinion from my own friends and acquaintances.

well i think being a bigoted jerk is a disease too but we still allow people with such archaic unintelligent biased freaks of nature with that attitude walk around. When your God is deciding who has and hasn't committed a sin i am pretty sure he won't be looking at the homosexuals but at people who CHOSE to be intolerant, insensitive, bigoted homophobes. Worry about your own lack of humanity before worrying about whom is sleeping with whom.

you can not compare homosexuality with bestiality or child molestation! homosexuality, like heterosexuality, involves two consenting adults - why are you bothered by two people who love and respect each other?

Come on... Puleeez... You aren't really asking a question. You just want to spread your rhetoric. This site really isn't intended to be your soapbox. Maybe you should find an alternate outlet to discuss your beliefs, or ask a real question.

Ahhhh, but it can be, and it is. Just because it seems foreign to you doesn't mean it can't be that way, accepting that is called tolerance, and you need to learn some.
