Take a cotton pad and dip it in warm water and then use it as a warm compress on your infected nose twice a day. Use an anti-infection cream like Neosporin on it twice or thrice a day. If it doesn't seem to be getting any better (or gets worse) go to a piercing parlour and get it taken out. Try not to touch it too much, and if you do only touch it with clean hands.

I'd recommend that you immediately get off your seat at the computer and head towards the nearest phonebook and set up an appointment with a doctor.

If you leave infections alone, great problems will appear...potentially irreversible damage to your nose. Thus, go see a doctor and be sure to inform him/her of everything regarding your nose.

Take the ring out and keep it cleaned. You might have to let it close up but not always. The top hole on my ear got infected once and I just took the earring out and kept it clean for about a week and the put it back in and it was fine. I guess it all depends on the person.

CLEAN IT! Piercing maintenance is sooo important. Go to a local drugstore and buy some Bactine and some dial anti-bacterial soap. Wash with Dial at least once a day and spray with bactine about 3 times a day. If its already infected you can just wait for it to go away, while maintaining the cleanliness as much as possible.

Good luck!

You need to see a doctor. An infection in that region of your face has the potential to be very dangerous. Removing the stud and cleaning it doesn't necessarily mean the infection is gone. Go to a doctor, and they will tell you what to do.

Go to the doctor or dermatologist and have them determine the extent of the infection and stay away from random people and putting random holes in random parts of your body!
