Why is a man cool if he has many sexual experiences, and a girl or woman is called a whore?
I will never get that!

its a age old thing.
sex is suppost to be a burden to women something she has to endure when she is married shes not suppost to enjoy.
This is a very old concept and really does need to be thrown out
My wife still thinks this is how things should be done and feels very very bad when ever she "wants" because this is the way she was rasied! It sould be a good thing if and when a woman wants sex. Its very sad that for so many years women were taught to dispise sex and to think on it as something one has to endure when married and to get children. its just not right.
I find it very erousing when my wife approches me for sex. But then i have to sit by and watch her cry cause she realized she wanted it. I try to get her to understand that its ok to want it but she just cant. wish i knew what to do for her.
And most people still think this way too. they think that women have something evil wrong with them if they happen to want sex. and this thought needs to be knocked out.

Throughout history-and this is rapidly changing-women had the most to lose by having sex outside of marriage. A promiscuous woman was not just a woman who enjoys sex, but a woman who puts sex/men above her family and her own personal well-being. A reckless woman. A woman without self-respect.
The brunt of sexual responsibilty was on the woman because she was the one who carried the scar of indiscretion (children).
Property was passed down from father to first born son, or other children. A man needed to be absolutely certain who his children were. He has a right to know. This responsibility lay foremost with the woman; because only she really knows who the father could be. The only way a man could know for sure (before DNA Testing) was if his wife was virginal...and then he still may have to wonder. That's why some societies adopted strict punishment for adulterous women. And often death for the men, if the woman was married.
It isn't the act of sex that makes the difference, but the potential for disaster as a result of her actions. She carries more responsibility.

Woman are supposed to be these demure, sweet, innocent givers of life and not enjoy the same pleasures a man does. That is old school society talking there. In actuality we are passionate, loving, sexual beings that enjoy the same pleasures a man does if not more...
Unfortunately society has not caught up with the 60's & 70's sexual revolution. Now this is not to say young girls & ladies should have carte blanche to run out and have sex with every Tom, Dick or Harry. But then again neither should a man...
Casual sex is not casual at all...But if you do opt for "Casual Sex" make sure you are old enough, 21 yrs or older (YES 21 because then you are more mature) and have SAFE SEX!!!! Know who you are getting involved with (I don't recommend 1 night stands), be careful of where you are, and trust your gut. If it feels bad or wrong it probably is...
Sex should never be taken lightly nor should the feelings that can evolve from having it. Your virginity is precious, that goes for young men as well as young women don't be so eager to give it away...once you do you can't get it back.

It's an age old dilemma....refreshing to see some guys on here that agree..yes double standard but if you think back not so long it really was a mans world...still is to a certain extent. Nothing wrong with members of any sex or sexual persuasion who enjoy sex. I just think that some women and men get confused with the difference between sex and love...why not enjoy sex...as long as you don't use and abuse the trust...that's two sided.

well i don't get that either, considering that the guys are having sex with these women as well. its like the man is at fault if he has an affair, what about the woman? shouldn't she get the blame too. it is double standards for sure.
i love sex, and i know my husband doesn't think any different of me for it.
you would think that with going through a whole "sexual revolution" back in the day, it would have changed things a bit, but still the there is a stereo type for women who sleep around.

Since men have been in the seat of power the longest they were able to create one set of rules that applies to them (it's good to have lots of sex partners) and another that applies to women (lots of partners makes you a slut). There is nothing fair about this. Also there is absolutely nothing wrong with women who like to have sex. As far as I'm concerned, men who are promiscuous like dogs are just as socially unacceptable. I feel that the beauty of a relationship between a man and a woman is to be cherished and savored. Just going around boinking everything that walks, talk or breathes is like ordering a supreme pizza, eating all the mushrooms off of it and then throwing it away. Don't get me wrong, I love mushrooms (and sex), but there is so much more to a relationship than just the physical part of it.

In fact, if they enjoyed sex more the world would be a better place. Nothing is better for a man than being around a bunch of incredibly horny females. And as long as we have contraception, nothing is better for a woman either. Simple. More good sex will bring world peace and lots of other good stuff.

Right on! i've wondered that too. I am a one man woman, but i've always wondered why it is that way. there are many men who i'd say are whores if they were woman, but there not so i can't....so that is wrong.
