I know admins who make $80,000+ and others who make $15,000.

If you're going for the bigger bucks, executive assistants are usually paid more at bigger companies than at smaller ones. The $80,000 question is, how do you break in?

Three ways: (1) know (or meet) somebody; (2) come equipped with special education and skills, pertinent to the particular job; (3) work for a temp agency, specifically asking for the types of positions you would like to have - it's amazing how many people get hired away from temp agencies.

depending on what field you are in and size of company and etc but on average a good assistant will make $50,000.00 to 60,000.00 with like 10 years experience in a medium size city and more in big and high cost of living cities .
