if she's underage she can have her mother arrested, which is what she should do because her mother could turn right back around and press charges on her for running away...(my mother did) Her mother can also have her arrested for being under age and not doing as told i can't think of the word they use for it(my mother did that to me also) My mother also tried to have it so i had no rights till i was 21 by trying to put me in a foster home till 21... no license, no nothing including no keeping my baby i was lucky to have a father who despised my mother and loved his children and refused to let it happen. Help your friend watch her own back... tell her to go to her fathers and see if father will help get her an attourney (if possible and good enviroment) or to get the law involved before her mother does. Just because she's underage doesn't mean she's not willing to provide for that baby. Nor does it make her any less of a person... people make mistakes (i'm not saying that the baby is a mistake) it's what you do about your mistakes that make the difference... i stepped up to the plate cause i wanted my baby and i learned a great deal from my mistake and learned alot in responsiblity

Well if you want to have the adult responsibly of having sex. Why not have the rest of the responsibilities of being an adult. Every person out there know that sex can cause you to get pregnant. So yes you should be able to turn to your parent in time of crisis. But when the crisis is Oh I forgot that sex is best left for adults and that is a bunch of BS. Besides all of us here do not know this girls background. Is she someone who has been sleeping around with different people and has her mother warned her that she would be kicked out if this was to happen. Now if it was a one time thing or a date rap that is different all together. But all you people that feel bad for children that are willingly having sex and not being safe about it and saying pity you to them then you have issues. Go to a health clinic and get condoms or at least get put on birth control. I am sure that her Mother does not want to pay for her daughters ignorance but nor do I and every other tax payer out their.
If she cannot raise the child tell her to give it up for adoption. A loving family that cannot have kids would love to have a baby. It is a wonderful gift she could give someone.
Best wishes for her.

I think it is totally stupid and irresponsible for a mother to turn her back on her daughter.

Maybe your homegirl's mother is doing the tough love thing...or maybe your homegirl has been given chance after chance and her Mom is at her wits end. There is probably more to the story.

Tell your friend to go to a crisis pregnancy center and see if they can help her. If you email me and tell me what state you live in icould give you numbers and addresses.

No it is not stupid. Your friend should have never gotten pregnant especially if her mom raised her with morals and values to NOT go out and have sex and get knocked up. Since you friend felt the need to do the adult thing called sex, now she is pregnant and has to deal with it on her own. Time for her to grow up since she was in such a hurry to grow up. She should have left sex alone and she would not be in this situation.

I think it is. If (god forbid) my daughter comes to me and tells me she's pregnant I would want to be there. Where will she end up if I didn't? Wouldn't I rather help her through this time then find out she's dead in an alley because she decided to see someone to "fix" the problem? This is such an odd world that we turn our children away when their problem is so serious.

I can understand the mother being mad but she should not have kicked her out because she will need her mother, The mom needs to be reported to child protective services for doing that to her pregnant child.

Well to be honest, it is bad when you can't turn to your parents for support but that girl took everything that her parents, teachers, and doctors have told her and threw it all away. She was adult enough to have sex and adult enough to get pregnant then she should be adult enough to take care of herself. If she has taken everything her parents told her and disregarded it, why should her parents have to take on the strain and stress of caring for her baby? I am not saying that it is right that her parents have kicked her out but you should also look at it from the parents point of view.

No that's not stupid b/c if you are old enough to sleep around you old enough to take care of your baby on your own and find you somewhere to live but,if you can't do that there is always mom and dad.
