I AGREE!

I am sometimes humourous, but not downright hostile. Even when I disagree strongly, there's a civil way to say it.

Your personal style seems similar to mine.

Similarly, don't let other peoples anger and ignorance rile you up and sidetrack you from your search for an open minded perspective. It's easy to scroll past the All-Caps answers, and ignorance is best ignored.

The problem with using this site for educational or enlightening purposes is that most of us here have no qualifications, or any idea what we're talking about. It is a site for gathering and expressing opinions, and many people have angry and ignorant opinions, so you'll see a fair representation of that. The problem is what you believe constitutes a legitamate question. I'm of the opinion that every question (even a rhetorical one) is legitimate. Some touch on sensitive topics, and strong reactions from both sides of the debate are to be expected. However, it's important to note that emotion is the enemy of reason, so emotional responses are seldom well-though out. Don't let it bother you, or you'll fall into the same trap they did.

Well, actually, it seems to me you answered your own question. Those who respond with anger and ignorance, are probably those who don't really have a clue what this site is all about. Sure, we get silly questions, sure we get questions by some people who are too lazy to do their on research, but, that doesn't excuse the kind of behavior which you are describing.
I would suggest that, when you get that type of answer, just go ahead and report that person and, just maybe, when they are suspended, and have to take the time to build a new profile, etc, to return, they might think twice.
But, then again, probably not..
Sorry you're having problems with morons.. It's an occupational hazard when trying to gain information, or, to help someone.
Hope your day gets better.

Hate is a very strong word. I like to think of dislike.
Ignorance is different to each and every person. Anger the same. What we all need to do is accept people for what they are - then make our own choice whether to include them in our "space."

Yes, I just started coming to this site and I posted a question and got a very rude answer. This is a really neat site to get some answers to your questions.

I could not agree more, and i like the way you think. I like to be sarcastic on here sometimes but I never give ignorant answers to the actually serious questions people ask.

Yes, well I don't hate them, but, you know what I mean. Even if I don't agree with someone's beliefs on something, I still should be able to answer with respect and dignity. I think it shows a person's maturity how they answer a question.

the purpose of this site is for people to voice opinions, good or bad you have to accept that just because some one is mean or rude doesn't mean they should have that freedom taken away. not every one is tripping through the Daisy's so to speak

Definitely. Questions you choose to answer should be what you are interested in or know about and responding in a mean or disrespectful manner is totally inappropriate.
