You only need to pay once and you can eat at the restaurants and drink at the bars and stuff so you don't have to pay each and every time you eat or drink you leave a tip or something. Some places make you wear wristbands to make sure that you are staying at the hotel before they give you the food/drinks. Other places you are not require to wear a wrist band. But anyways all inclusive means that you only have to pay once and you can eat or drink without paying each and every time.

One price to stay at the hotel and eat at their restaurants. The only other money would be to cover tips and the gift shop. At least that's how it was when I stayed at the Moon Palace. They actually had other hotels in Cancun that you could also eat at and swim in their pools. They had a shuttle bus that would run you back and forth to them for free. We still tipped the driver.

regardless of the implication of "all inclusive",always tip generously, you have the money and the employees at these resorts need your tips, and don't be too ugly an American, we need that as much as they need greenbacks. have fun...
