Of course. There is no other answer, as long as you love him. Committing yourself to a man in the service is a HUGE deal. If you love him, wait for him and he will love you more. HAving somone to think about and care about keeps them in a good place and helps them stay focused. HOWEVER, If you don't love him yet, let him go and when he comes back try again. Putting yourself through the turmoil of missing himand then having it not work out makes it so much harder on both of you. Honestly, Love is the key to the answer here.

Is he just a boyfriend or is he the person you think you want to spend the rest of your life with and remember that can be a very long time. When you reach a conclusion you have your answer.

Let's see, you have a boyfriend, who is so unselfish that he serves in the military, where he puts his life on the line (front lines since he is Marines), all in the name of saving his country's freedom.

Sounds like a darn good man to me. I wouldn't let him go.

Good luck!

Well, on one hand, he chose to leave. On the other hand, he is doing something very noble, and if you are the one he loves, you must be noble too. I guess it depends on - say - ask yourself, if he were leaving for the same periods of time, to do something other than military duty, would you stay with him then?

Do you love him? Think hard about this because if you don't then it's not fair for either of you to go on as if that was the case.
