Then, they lived in a repressive regime. Now, 100,000 civilians are dead, their infrastructure is gutted, they live in an occupied country, they're oil industry is ruined, electricity is scarce, sectarian violence is rampaging, and they're on the verge of civil war. Should they thank us?

The funeral industry is booming and sales of American Flags are up, but they keep accidentally catching on fire.

Yes, they are better off. They actually NOW have better infrastructure, more electricity and fresh water. The reason they have had those deaths and violence and destruction of the oil industry is because of the saddamites and terrorists who have attacked them to try to prevent them becoming a free and democratic country. That is not the fault of the US.
Because, unlike under Saddam, they have the opportunity to fight against the scumbags.
I'm curious, why are the liberals and Bush-haters so happy that Iraqis are dying and possibly getting into a civil war? Why have they supported the terrorist insurgents in their efforts to destabilize Iraq and kill innocent people? Why do they scream and moan about 1,000 Lebanese deaths, yet yawn and gloat about 100,000 Iraqi deaths? Why?

Where are you getting those stats? Their infrastructure is better now than before we were there. Their electricity is almost 100%, They may be occupied but that is where their elected official want us. You must talking about the foreign terrorist that are there. There may or may not a civil war. We had one here too.
The Iraqi's are in better shape today. You just don't hear about it. The left wing media is making sure you don't. The terrorist are making it very difficult and its challenging Iraqi's resolve. What the free Iraqi's realize that is not reported is life is much better today than it was with Saddam. The terror, torture and brutality that they suffered under Saddam and his two sadistic sons are to this day still being uncovered.

The innocent civilians of Iraq are caught in the cross fire of a civil war that Bush lied us into. More people have died and the country is fracturing under the pressure. They have less than they did under Saddam. So no, they shouldn't thank us for making them less safe than they were. You can't offer democracy through the barrel of a gun.

No, they are not...Even with Saddam, their Country was in much better shape, than it is today. It should have been their decision to get rid or not to get rid of him.
As soon as the USA pulls out of Iraq, everything will slowly begin to go back to the way it use to be.
That is just how that culture is and I don't care what anyone else (Conservatives) say about it, I know that it will happen!

Not yet....but they will be when it's all over. I've already
heard and seen Iraq civilians with signs saying "thank
you Americans" and "Don't desert us". These people
have lived in a repressive regime all their lives and would
finally like to live in peace, if Palestine, Hisbolla, Syria, and
Iran would leave them alone.

Now...no...but give it time and they will.....just look at america....we went through war...and a pretty nasty one at that to get to where we are today....it is going to take time....I know that I have had friends over there and they tell me that mose Iraqis know that things are going to get better...and thank us for getting rid of Saddam but that was the easy part....rebuilding a whole government is going to take time and there are always those people who will do anything to stop change.

STUPID BLAMES BUSH FOR BREATHING! Iraq would be better by decades if they would just stop murdering each other, destroying what we build for them, refusing to join the thinking world. A large percent of them are out of work because they were in sodom"s army-- they are now on Iran's payroll. We need to nuke the hell out of Tehran to solve most of that problem..

Well they are NOT helping themselves at all are they! They seem hell bent on killing anything that moves. That said,I truly wonder whether removing Saddam WAS a good thing. He seems to have kept them under control. One wonders whether we should put him back again.
