I think you mean- Muslims? And Muslims do respect humans, and we believ in One God only. I don't understnad what you are trying to say? There are always a few people in a group that behave out of the ordinary, it doesn't mean all of us are bad. Islam teaches muslims to forgive others and not to harm innocent civilians or women or children. How come you are not complaining about the Israelis murdering innocent children and women, or the Christians behind the Holocaust and Oklahoma city bombing and crusades? There are plenty of attrocities going on around the world, but no religion is pinned on it, only Islam gets a bad name. Why? People are afraid of the truth. And God's message is always rejected by the majority (just as Jesus' message was rejected by the Jews...and other prophets ignored by their people.)
I think you should understand Islam first, before you try to go around "explaining" things that you don't even know about!

entropic flux, I wouldn't be so fast to compare buddhist who set themselves on fire to extremist who shoot doctors and blow up clinics. For an example, my avatar picture is of Thich Quang Duc, the Vietnamese monk who set himself on fire in protest the government's treatment of buddhist. The act itself was intended to move the hearts of those who seemed to have such a hardened heart and this protest actually worked too. In contrast, the other acts which you speak of were manifested out of hate but this act came out of compassion.

there are extremists on all sides, comrade. there are christian terrorists who blow up abortion clinics and kill doctors. there are christian scientists who refuse to allow thier children medical treatment. there are buddhists who set themselves on fire to protest violence.

when will people understand? allah is beautiful and accepting, god is all knowing, jehovah is wise and merciful: the three books teach the same religion, the masks are worn by the same face. you can never change another person, you can only hope that through changing yourself they learn your lessons.

When will any religious group learn this?

Other than the Buddhists and the Bahai who seem to have a pretty good handle on it.

Never, they are brainwashed and endoctrinated since they were born to their ways. They don't know any other way. That's their favorite past time.
